How does Tree Service work? When you contact us the first thing we do is get a sense of what your need is, be it tree pruning, tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, or what have you. When you call, we will speak with you to schedule a service visit to your property to formally assess what work needs to be done. If you reach us through one of our contact forms we will contact you to schedule this visit. During the site visit, one of our arborists will discuss with the potential client their goals, concerns, and questions regarding their trees, review their health, and design a strategy to meet the needs of the particular circumstance. At this point the potential customer will be given a verbal estimation of what will be done, when it will be done, and what it will cost. If the potential client decides to proceed and contract us to do the work, subsequent to the visit, we will provide them a written, formal proposal for their review. We request that this proposal be agreed to in writing. The reason for this is to provide both us and the client documentation the details of the job in order to clarify any ambiguity related to the services being contracted. This also give the client another opportunity to ask questions about specific items in the proposal. We want clients to be completely comfortable about what services will be done. After we receive the signed proposal, one of our arborists will contact the client to schedule the service appointment. We make it point to schedule around our client's schedules not have them bend to ours. We do not require you to be home when the work is completed either, if that is more convenient for you. After of crew completes the work, we will send you and invoice via email or mail whichever you prefer with payment options detailed.

What goes into Removing a tRee?
the One of the reasons that tree work should be done by a professional tree service is that it is extremely dangerous work. Trees limbs and parts can weight many hundreds of pounds (for example a hardwood with a circumference of 69 inches at chest height weighs about three tons, or 6,000 pounds!), and are elevated at heights that can be deadly if fallen from. Arborists have specialized equipment that allow them to complete tree work as safely as possible.
Tree removal is a common tree service. Removal is usually accomplished via tree felling or removal in pieces. Tree removal involves cutting a tree in such a way that it is no longer standing and it's pieces cut in to sections that can then be used for chipping, firework or building. Though it sounds simple enough, tree removal requires several distinct steps.
The first step in tree removal is preparation. The person felling the tree must be outfitted with the proper safety equipment: googles, helmet, knee pads, chaps gloves and work boots. The area should be cleared of anything that could impede the movement of people and equipment to the tree. The lean of the tree must be inspected as well to determine the side of the cut, the optimal direction the tree must fall in, and whether it can be taken down in one piece at all. The area around the tree should be thoroughly inspected for structures, property or powerlines within the radius of the tree one times the trees length.
At this point if it is determined that the tree can be taken take down in one piece, but it is is leaning in the opposite direction of the direction it must fall, the amount of back lean must be calculated. Back lean is the degree to which the tree is leaning beyond an invisible line through the tree directly perpendicular to the ground. If a leaning tree can be taken down without first cutting it piece by piece, a wedge on the side of the tree in the direction of the fall is cut out, then a higher wedge is cut out on the opposite side of the tree. Ropes or straps are also attached to the tree at this point so they can be held by the tree service workers to guide the fall of the tree.
If the tree cannot be felled in one piece, which is often the case with large trees in urban areas, it must be removed piecemeal. The safest and simplest ways to remove a tree piece by piece is with a crane or bucket truck also known as a cherry picker. With bucket truck tree removal, the worker removing the tree stands safely in the bucket of the tree, and carefully cuts down parts of the tree piece by piece. If there is no space for a bucket truck or it is determined that the tree is strong and safe enough to climb, climbing may be used to cut down a tree. The climber wears a harness which is attached to rigging attached to the tree. The climber methodically cuts limbs off the limbs of the tree, then the trunk until it is a height where it can be safely felled. If neither a bucket truck removal or a climber tree removal is possible, the tree can be directly directly pull out of the ground using a crane. With crane-assisted removal, workers are not directly in contact with the tree during removal.
